 FAQs

  • TL;DR - Anything but Weddings. Sorta.

Based on my background, I am uniquely skilled at capturing performing and pageantry arts images. This includes events and performances, but also team and individual portraits. If it is related to the performing arts, I’m all-in. Marching Band, Color Guard, and other music performances are obviously high on my list, but so too is theatre and dance. I love celebrating and memorializing the hard work that goes into performance.

I also love capturing unique portraits that convey story or emotion. A lot of times that means my portrait subjects are individuals who are in some way tied to the fine/performing arts, but not always. Anyone who has a story that they want to tell, an emotion they want to capture, or a special interest to celebrate is welcome.

My biggest passion in portrait photography is building confidence - and if that’s something you’re looking for, let’s talk. I’d love to hype you up.

My initial interest in photography was actually food and product - and this is something that is still true to this day. I love crafting images of food that look so delicious you just want to eat the picture itself. I am especially passionate about capturing diner and comfort food. Michelin Star dining is great… but I’d rather celebrate a messy cheeseburger.

Finally, I receive a lot of joy from documenting events that are community focused. I love finding those candid moments where people are loving life, enjoying their community, and helping build something bigger than themselves. This might be participating in a carnival or street fair - it might be joining in community activism - or it might be celebrating and contributing to the philanthropic spirit of our community.

  • Performances and Events - Starting at $149 per hour of shooting time.

Portraits - Packages starting at $199 for 30 minute sessions.

Promotional - Styled studio shoots starting at $299 for food, product, or other promotional images.

More detailed pricing information is available on each page of my portfolio.

  • I try to return all images within 5 business days of your session. If you need images same-day or next-day, I can do that! (But it will be treated as a rush delivery and receive an extra fee. See “What are your prices?” above.)

The exception to this would be performance and event photography, where next-day-rush delivery is already baked into the price.

Based on what we decide during your initial consultation, images will be delivered one of two ways:

    1) An in-person reveal session

We look at your final, edited images together on a large screen, then talk through digital and physical print options for format, size, and materials. We will also talk about different uses for your images that maybe you haven’t thought about. (Graduation announcement cards, anyone?) This ensures you get the maximum value out of your images. You will also have an opportunity to purchase additional physical or digital prints beyond what is included in your initial package during this session.

    2) A digital gallery

You will receive a link to a private gallery of your images online with links to order additional digital or physical prints in a variety of sizes and materials beyond what is included in your initial package. This link can be shared with family, friends, or really anyone you want. This makes it very easy for distant relatives to see and receive your special images.

  • Great question! To make your initial consult faster and easier, here’s a list of things to think about:

    1) What are these images for?

Is this is portrait that is going to hang above the fireplace? Is it an image for your executive boardroom or office? Are product images that are going to be used for social media marketing? Or… maybe you just want an epic new profile pic for your socials.

Based on your final goal for the images, we will work backward to figure out exactly what type of shoot you need.

    2) How many final images do you want?

Are you looking for just one perfect image of a single person or item? Are you wanting an entire session with different looks, moods, and personalities? If it’s a commercial shoot - are we photographing a single product, or an entire catalogue or menu?

Not completely sure? Shoot for a standard of 10-20 final images. That gives you variety without being overwhelming.

    3) What type of photos do you get excited about?

Maybe you saw something in my portfolio; maybe it’s an image you’ve seen on Instagram or Pinterest… if you can show me what you enjoy, it goes a long way to making sure we are speaking the same language and we can create the type of image you want and will love for years to come.

Part of your pre-shoot process will be us creating a mood board together. We aren’t going to copy these images, but we will definitely use them as inspiration to make sure you get something you love but is completely unique!
